About
Situated in the beautiful rolling Cotswold Hills, Woodchester Valley Vineyards is one of the few sustainable English Vineyards in the Southwest, producing award-winning wine.
It is a single Estate, meaning visitors can experience the whole journey from grape to glass in the winemaking process, as everything is done on site, using only their own produce.
They have knowledgeable tour hosts who will guide your guests around the site and introduce them to a selection of their most loved wines with a tutored tasting.
Key selling points for groups
- Groups can hire the Tasting Room exclusively for their own tour with a dedicated tour host to guide them through the wines and wine-making process.
- Site can be accessed via minibus, and there is space for the driver to drop off and wait.
- There is accommodation on site, but this is limited to three Vineyard Barns which can sleep up to 2 people, a Farmhouse which sleeps 4 and a large modern house which can sleep up to 14.
Useful information for travel trade
Classic/Premium tour usually lasts between 1 hour 45 minutes and 2 hours. A lunch tour with food would be about 2.5 hours.
Group booking procedures
- Enquiries should be sent via email or can be booked over the telephone
Group sizes and event capacity
- The site can accommodate groups up to 30 people.
Coach access and parking
- Access to the site is via narrow lanes, and therefore Woodchester Valley Vineyard isn't able to allow coaches. Small minibuses are able to access, and there is a car park where they are able to drop off and wait. Alternatively, guests can be dropped off at the bottom of the hill and enjoy a stroll up to the Vineyard (quite steep and takes around 20 minutes).
Sustainability
Enhanced and exclusive experiences
The Tasting Room can be hired for exclusive use for private groups. Woodchester Valley Vineyard can offer Tours & Tastings suited to the group and their interests including grazing boards with locally sourced produce as an additional extra.
Product development and partnerships
They strive to use local producers for food offerings (Hobbs House Bakery, The Kitchen Garden, Netherend Farm Butter, Brinkworth Dairy, Two Farmers, Godsells Cheese etc).
