About
The Bristol Hippodrome is one of the country's top, family-friendly provincial theatres, which proudly continues to stage major West End and Broadway productions and is the last major theatre designed by world-famous architect Frank Matcham. The Bristol Hippodrome caters for all, whether you prefer musicals, ballet, opera, concerts, comedians or children’s shows; the venue’s busy programme is bound to have something to suit every taste.
The Bristol Hippodrome's local claim to fame is starting the career of Archibald Leach, later known as Hollywood actor Cary Grant!
The Hippodrome plays host to all the best in world touring productions including Disney’s Lion King, Wicked, Les Miserables, Hamilton and most recently the world premiere production of The Greatest Showman. Groups of all sizes are welcome and shows are on daily throughout the year.
