The Bird brings colour, character and a genuinely warm welcome to the heart of Bath, just a short stroll from the Abbey, the Roman Baths and Pulteney Bridge. Fittingly, the address on Pulteney Road connects the hotel to Sir William Pulteney, the 18th-century developer behind Bath’s Georgian expansion the same man whose American land agent, Charles Williamson, founded Bath, New York in 1793, naming it in honour of this city. It’s a genuine thread linking The Bird to their American visitors long before they arrive. 

For groups, the hotel offers real flexibility: exclusive use of the whole hotel, dedicated private dining in the Glass Room (up to 35 guests per room, or 70 across both spaces), co-working space, and event spaces for gatherings of up to 40, all wrapped in playful, individually-designed interiors where no two rooms are alike.

Useful information for travel trade

Guests can pull up directly outside the hotel on Pulteney Road to unload before parking. Coach drop-off is also directly outside the hotel.

Limited on-site car park: £20/night for hotel guests, £5/night for diners, first come, first served; further parking available at Bath Croquet Club. 

Bath Spa train station is around a 10-minute walk from the hotel.
