About
The Bird of Prey Project is a multi-award winning attraction and registered charity in The Duchy of Cornwall’s 17th century village of Newton St. Loe in Bath. The site is home to 20 birds of prey and owls. Visit the birds, learn about local conservation in the interactive displays, and watch the daily flying displays in the spectacular Somerset countryside.
Get up close with our birds during one of our experiences:
-
Owl Encounters (private experience): Meet 3 different species of Owl in the indoor flying area, learn about their behaviours and habitats, and fly each one yourself led by our experienced and knowledgeable keepers. (up to 1 hour, age 6+)
-
Hawk Walks (private experience): Take a walk with one of our Harris’ Hawks in the beautiful countryside surrounding Bath. Led by one of our experienced keepers you will enjoy the thrill of having a trained Harris’ Hawk flying to your glove from the surrounding trees. (up to 1 hour age 6+)
-
Fly a Bird (group experience): Learn to Fly a Bird to your gloved hand. (up to 30 mins, age 5+)
As a charity, all proceeds from your visit go towards our mission of promoting modern raptor welfare, conserving habitats, and making wildlife education accessible for all.
