About

First Bus provides bus services for getting around Bristol, Bath and the West, allowing you to explore everything the region has to offer. With almost 100 routes currently operating, it’s easy to hop aboard and leave the car at home or at your hotel.

Which ticket should I buy?

The ticket you need depends on how much you travel.

Single tickets start at just £2.40 for adults and £1 for children anywhere in the West of England.

For a full list of tickets and their current prices, visit the First Bus website.

How do I pay for my bus ticket?

There are two great ways to pay for your bus travel.

If you’re not sure which ticket you’ll need, try using Tap On, Tap Off. All you need to do is tap your contactless card or device on the ticket machine when you board the bus, and again when you leave. No need to ask the driver for a ticket, we’ll work out the fare for you based on how much you travel. Please note that Tap On, Tap Off operates based on adult fares only.

Or download the free First Bus app, where you can find everything you’ll need for your journey, all in one place. This includes door-to-door directions to the best attractions, live tracking of your bus on a map, and our range of bus tickets for you to purchase and store all within the app. Just search ‘First Bus’ in your app store and download for free.
