Children's Scrapstore supports reuse through collecting & repurposing waste materials 

Children's Scrapstore is a Bristol-based reuse charity on a mission to redefine waste as a resource, collecting and repurposing discarded materials to widen opportunities for creativity and play.

They collect and re-use industrial by-products, surplus materials, and waste free of charge from the business community. In doing so, they ensure environmental compliance and support corporate social responsibility policy, helping businesses and organisations divert around 200 tonnes from landfill each year.

Scrap collected is then transformed into valuable community resources used in all kinds of creative, play, care, educational, therapeutic and community settings across the UK.

What can I donate?

The team is always looking for new suppliers to help keep materials diverse and support the growth of the circular economy.

The materials they collect include:

• Production off-cuts and by-products
• Rejected quality control batches
• Bankrupt and redundant stock
• Bulk quantities of unused raw materials, components and packaging

If you’d like to visit, they are located at Scrapstore House in St Werburghs. The building is open to the public Tuesday to Saturday, 10am–5pm, except Thursdays when they open at 11am. Inside you’ll find the Scrapstore Warehouse, ArtShop, and Playroom, with plenty more activity happening behind the scenes.
