About

Arnos Vale Cemetery is one of Bristol's most remarkable heritage attractions, offering visitors a unique blend of history, architecture, nature and global connections.

This beautifully restored Victorian garden cemetery is home to the magnificent memorial of Raja Rammohun Roy, the pioneering Indian social and religious reformer whose legacy continues to attract visitors from around the world. His Grade II* listed tomb is an important place of pilgrimage and a symbol of Bristol's long-standing international connections.

Beyond Raja Rammohun Roy, Arnos Vale tells the stories of Bristol through the lives of pioneering reformers, industrialists, scientists, artists, military personnel and civic leaders whose achievements helped shape the city and beyond.

Guided tours and bespoke group visits bring these fascinating stories to life, offering an engaging insight into Victorian Britain, Bristol's development and the people who shaped its history.

Set within 45 acres of beautiful Victorian landscape, Arnos Vale offers UK and international visitors a memorable experience that combines heritage, nature and compelling human stories in one of the country's finest historic garden cemeteries.
